The Southern Suburbs are highly accessible due to the two major highways that service the area. The Southern Suburbs are the suburbs located south of the City Bowl in Cape Town. They include Athlone, Philippi, Wetton, Lansdowne, Diep River, Capricorn Park, Ottery, Claremont, Constantia, Kenilworth, Mowbray, Newlands, Plumstead, Retreat, Rondebosch, Steenberg, Rosebank, Tokai, Westlake, Wynberg, Fish Hoek, Rylands, Primrose Park, Muizenberg and Southfield.The Southern Suburbs feature a mix of retail, industrial and commercial properties with a number of beautiful heritage buildings. Amongst these properties there are contemporary modern office blocks, each adding to the appeal of the area. There is also a strong retail element with High Street shopping and convenience centres with some industrial nodes i.e. Lansdowne.
