History will judge us by the difference we make in the everyday lives of children. Nelson Mandela.

A sentiment Swindon KwaZulu-Natal broker, Mac Khoza, has taken to heart. Mac has joined the Comrades marathon "Return of the Superheroes" campaign and will be putting his mind and body on the line by running this year's ultimate human race, to raise funds for Early Development Centres in KZN. In celebration of Youth Day, Swindon Property will be backing our broker, and this worthy cause, by donating towards Mac's goal of raising R90 000.00 for the support of children receiving the best possible start for the future.

All funds raised will be going to NPO Impact Partners which works to provide nutrition and early childhood development (ECD) to 6 000 children throughout KwaZulu-Natal. The first five years of a child's life are essential in developing mental, physical, and emotional skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.

Charities include:

  • Feed the Babies Fund
  • Ihlombe Early Childhood Development
  • Khulani Creche
  • Sizamakonke Crèche and Pre-school

Those who are not yet impressed by this mammoth undertaking by Mac should know that Mac only has a few marathons under his belt. Still, he chose the Comrades to highlight his passion for the development of children in South Africa. Mac adds, "It's the ultimate human challenge and I wanted to choose something historically South African and ultimately above and beyond my current physical ability."

"With all that we have gone through as a country and even more so as a global community in the past two years, I feel that enduring a little discomfort and stretching myself beyond the norm is key. Doing my bit raising funds is the least I can do to help myself and those less privileged to keep going forward with a positive and optimistic perspective."
