Central, Cape Town

Central Areas at a glance

The central areas cover those nodes conveniently located between Cape Town’s two major national highways, the N1 and N2, with the eastern boundary being Robert Sobukwe (old Modderdam Road). This precinct consists predominantly of warehousing as well as industrial and manufacturing sectors and includes the following areas: Ndabeni, Maitland, Epping 1, Epping 2, Airport Industria, Aiport City, Thornton, Elsies River, Beaconvale, and Parow Industria. The commercial and retail orientated nodes falling into this precinct include Pinelands, Goodwood and Parow.   All these areas offer excellent bus and train systems, one of the biggest considerations to make for a large staff contingent reliant on public transport. While being the industrial and warehousing hub, each area provides it’s own unique aesthetic and appeal to potential tenants. Example of this is Epping which is home to much larger manufacturing and warehousing users which require greater power supplies, Aiport Industia’s location close to Cape Town International favours many logistics companies, Maitland and Ndabeni with their close proximity to the CBD have seen aggressive growth in the last year in both commercial and industrial sectors. Each area also has it’s own price point dependent on these and numerous other factors.
